Skate of the art

I began figure skating as a youth because I wanted nothing more than the team jacket! The first year I started “Precision”, I fell in the block and a fellow teammate skated across three of my fingers. This sport requires a skater to be tough, resilient, and a compassionate teammate. I was in love with the freedom and speed I have on the ice. I still compete as a synchronized skater now, with that gold medal within reach!

Becoming a skate sharpener was my retirement dream that came earlier than expected. Training under Joe Baker, Owner of B-Sharp in Ottawa, I learned how to offer my clients the best quality products, repairs, and sharpening.

My interest in roller skating stems from movies and watching people dance and skate with the disco ball sparkling and the music pounding. I want to bring roller skating back to its glory, and I have big dreams and plans for our little community! I am looking to connect with the local roller community to help grow it together, so please reach out to me.
